Albert Eisenstaedt

Hi I’m Gina

I was fortunate to spend the first 20 something years of my life with my family growing up in the Golden Valley, Herefordshire, to then spending the next 18+ years in Somerset forging many friendships and memories working for 10 years in the hotel industry and the next 9 at a Solicitors firm.
A change in my personal circumstances enabled a move back nearer family again and you can find me residing in the stunning Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire with my husband, son & big black rescue cat.
My photography over the last 2 decades has been on a part time basis at equestrian & family events and now as a stay at home mum I find the chance to devote more time into my photography.

Am I the photographer for you?

I wholeheartedly understand the emotional feeling a photograph can give you, i.e a favourite location, portrait of your pets, vehicles, family days out and with the sadness & loss when our favourites leave us, the power and fulfilment of seeing their image can produce reminders of days past that help ease the pain.
Self taught over the last 20+ years, I adore all genres of photography with a slight enhanced love for black & white portraiture.
Brought up to be hard working, not afraid to get my hands dirty and will spend time getting to know you, your family & pets to ensure everyone feels at ease and the camera becomes less obtrusive and off putting. I try to keep everything natural and relaxed in an environment best suited to you as the client, with candid shots alongside posed to give you a good selection.

My interests

~Photography (of course) but my first love is horses, after being taught to ride at the age of 5 by my dearest mum, I thankfully still ride whenever I can.
~ Mountain biking, nothing too daring but enjoy time out on the bikes and the forest provides some great tracks.
~ Upholstery, a fairly new self-taught interest after collecting 2 old wingback chairs last year for free and deciding to strip them down and recover.
~ Gardening, we are lucky enough to have a veg patch so each year whilst its not a top love, I enjoy growing seasonal fruit and veg to top up our local farm shop purchases. Plus making your own jam is pretty satisfying.
~ watching Tv, listening to music and eating (doesn’t everyone?)
